The V6 version of Ford Everest is about to be sold in Southeast Asia, Vietnamese people are interested

The American car company has information about distributing the Platinum version in the Southeast Asian market, but the company has not specified which market will be available first.

Not too long ago, Ford also implicitly confirmed that the Ford Everest Platinum version of the SUV will be available for sale in Southeast Asia. This will meet the needs of some Vietnamese users who want to access the most powerful version even though the price is not cheap.

Compared to the most advanced Titanium and Wildtrak versions in the Vietnamese market, the Platinum version will be equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine, with 250 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. This engine is combined with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and a 2-wheel drive system.

Currently, the two versions of Titanium and Wildtrak in the Vietnamese market currently only use a 2.0L Bi-turbo diesel engine, with a capacity of 210 horsepower and maximum torque of 500 Nm, combined with an automatic transmission. 10 speeds, 2-wheel drive system. So the Platinum version will have significantly higher performance.

However, the exterior of the Ford Everest Platinum will not be too different from the Titanium and Wildtrak versions. There are still prominent chrome-plated radiator grilles, mirrors, handles and door sills. The interior of the Platinum version will also have equipment such as: large 12-inch vertical screen, wireless phone charger, leather-wrapped gear lever and electronic handbrake.

Notably in some markets, the Ford Everest’s seats on the Platinum version are covered in high-quality leather, with heating, ventilation, and 10-way power adjustment. This version is likely to also be equipped with airbags between the two front seats to optimally protect passengers in the event of a collision.

Equipped with a V6 engine and a number of special options, it is likely that the Ford Everest Platinum version will be priced from 1.7 to 1.9 billion VND, significantly higher than the average. In the Vietnamese market, Ford Everest is considered the most popular separate chassis SUV with 2023 sales of up to 9,960 vehicles delivered.
